| We are delighted to introduce our new project which showcases the emerging artists of the Pavel Petrovich Benkov College.
This project, captured by local photographer Hassan Kurbanbaev and the brand’s creative director Jenia Kim, explores a creative exchange with Benkov College students. For a sketching session the artists' muses were dressed in the J.Kim fall-winter collection inspired by Rishtan ceramics. The silhouettes of the garments resemble sculptural objects, and the intricate hand-knitted motifs are whispered by 'suzani' technique. The muses, like statuettes, symbolize the various disciplines taught at the college.
Jenia Kim found the main inspiration for this project in the artists themselves and the techniques they employ. Through these frozen-in-time images, the project honours the dedication of young talents just beginning their artistic journeys.
Named after the distinguished artist Pavel Benkov, the college specializes in fine and applied arts, blending traditional Uzbek crafts with contemporary methods. |
