| | On October 4, J.Kim hosted a pre-opening celebration for our new craft store at Chorsu Bazaar, located in the heart of Tashkent, which we have announced as 'J.Kim Objects' that is experimental creative laboratory where we combine bold forms and traditional crafting techniques of Uzbekistan that are unique for each region and so special for the people who live there. The outcome is each time a new result of careful co-creation, from ceramics and flatbreads to carefully selected vintage and self-made glass objects. | | | | | | Our store at the Chorsu bazaar lives in a subtle interaction with this wonderful place, where not only trades take place. Here, deals are struck, performances are staged, children play, prayers are read and eyes meet. And we, for example, come up with collaborations with bread bakers and ladies who sell qurut, it’s a savory snack made of dried yogurt. With the help of our objects, each guest will be able to live their own unique journey through Chorsu. Jenia Kim says: | | | | | | | The interior design, made of natural materials, is built on subtle and unobvious references to Uzbek and Korean cultures. Our counter is like a portal to that very inviting magical world where new forms are born. And behind the counter is an invisible continuation, our laboratory. | | | | | | We are delighted to invite you to pay a visit to the J.Kim Objects, open from October 21, Tue – Sun, 10 am – 5 pm, Tashkent, street Sakichmon, 1/12.
