J.KIM FW24
THE FIGURINES STAND ON WINDOWSILL
Following a desire to escaping the ordinary, for Fall/Winter 2024 collection designer Jenia Kim is opening a portal to a world where objects-like garments have miraculous properties and are endowed with a magical aura, as if each piece had its own unique personality and could exist on its own. It is our ode to the craftmanship.

The idea for the collection took shape during our research for handicrafts to be presented at the J.Kim craft shop in the heart of Tashkent's Chorsu Bazaar. Inspired by the sculptural forms and textures of the selected items, we decided to pay homage to these works of art by recreating them in garments.

Thus, in our recent collection we are introducing a dedicated line of garments that resemble the shapes of vases and porcelain figurines thanks to their seamless and streamlined designs: sophisticated wool coats and clean-cut tailored suits, with a shawl bale jacket taking the centre place of the outwear.

The delicate highlight is a capsule inspired by Rishtan ceramics, featuring a standout piece is a dress which silhouette imitates the shape of an amphora with two handles.

The authenticity of craftsmanship is embodied in the knitted items, inspired by traditional naive embroidery known as suzani. The spiritual essense of the collection is embodied in leather pouches detailed with multiple kozmunchoq handmade glass charm beads that are known for being a sign against the evil eye for protecting yourself from all kinds of a bad influence:
